Michael Haynes

Michael Haynes is currently the Director of TransActive Solutions, a company dedicated to improving the walkability and bikeability of Canadian communities. In this capacity he conducts workshops and presentations on Active Transportation, since 2005 in more than 70 communities in every province in Canada. He has been a member of project teams developing cycling and pedestrian plans, trail plans, and Active Transportation plans.

Michael has given presentations on Active Transportation from Halifax to Kelowna British Columbia and in 2011 gave the Keynote Address at the Australian National Trails Conference in Sydney, Australia.

Michael has authored four hiking books, including Hiking Trails of Ottawa (2010).
